Denise’s Pygmy Seahorse

Hippocampus denise is tiny, growing only to a total length of 1.5 cm (5/8 inch)

Denise’s pygmy seahorse (Hippocampus denise).

Pygmy seahorses are among the most well camouflaged species in the oceans, being very difficult to spot amongst the gorgonian coral they live in. Hippocampus denise is tiny, growing only to a total length of 1.5 cm (5/8 inch). It is orange and resembles the pygmy seahorse, Hippocampus bargibanti, though its tubercles are less distinct (From Widipedia).

Batu Kelebit is one of my favorite dive site around Tulamben, Bali, Indonesia.
When I was living in Bali, I often hired the Jukung(small traditional fishing boat)  from the village near Tulamben wreck and went alone between Batu Kelebit and Tulamben dropoff.
At night time, they sleep inside the wreck and every morning coming here to feed the corals.
You don’t see big school here but surrounding by 5~6 huge (some of them +1 meter) humphead was always great experience.
