Pygmy seahorses are among the most well camouflaged species in the oceans, being very difficult to spot amongst the gorgonian coral they live in. Hippocampus denise is tiny, growing only to a total length of 1.5 cm (5/8 inch). It is orange and resembles the pygmy seahorse, Hippocampus bargibanti, though its tubercles are less distinct (From Widipedia).

인도네시아, 렘베에서 2013년 2월에 촬영한 데니스 피그미 해마 (Denise’s pygmy seahorse, 학명 Hippocampus denise) 입니다.
Hippocampus bargibanti (아래 사진)와 같이 최장 1.5cm 정도만 자라는 작은 해마로 데니스는 오렌지 색상에 날씬한 몸매를 가지고 있습니다.
